After care

Making the decision of what to do after your pet has passed can be just as difficult as making the decision to say goodbye. Below are some of the options included in your visit. Also please scroll down for more information on burial and cremation.

“We may not be together

In the way we used to be

We are still connected by

A cord no eye can see

So whenever you need to find me

We’re never far apart

If you look beyond the horizon

And listen with your heart”

Below are some of the aftercare options I provide at no additional cost

Euthabag

The euthabag is a lovely way to place your pets remains, whether you opt for burial or cremation. Each bag can be personalised with hand written messages.

Ink paw and nose prints

These are the more traditional prints that are offered. These will be taken on some lovely card to make a beautiful keepsake.

You can choose whether you would like paw prints, nose prints or both.

Hair Clippings

I can take some hair clippings once your pet has passed and present them in this lovely glass bottle with a rainbow paw charm for you to keep.

Clay prints

Clay prints can make a lovely keepsake of your pets paw. These are made from air dried clay so can easily be done during our visit or I can prepare them at the crematorium and return them to you.

Paw print on canvas

A slightly different presentation to the traditional paw print, these are made with children's washable paints and you can choose what colour you would like. All prints come with their own mini easel to display them.

Home Burial

Under UK law legislation last updated in 2013, you are permitted to bury animals within the grounds of your own home, subject to certain conditions:

  • You must own, not rent, the land where the pet is buried.
  • The pet must not be buried near any water sources.
  • There must be two feet of earth above the pet in heavy soils, and three feet in lighter soils.
  • The pet’s remains must not be hazardous to human health.
